Hampshire’s Jack Singh Brar secured his European Tour card for 2020 after a season-best top 10 finish at the Portugal Masters this week. Jack closed out the week with a final round of 66 and a share of 8th place. The result also moved Jack to 109th on the Race to Dubai rankings.
Jack commented “I’m over the moon. I got off to a great start today – five-under through nine – and I just tried to keep pushing. It’s hard when you know how much is on the line, but I’m just so glad to have done it. I knew I had to shoot a good number because there were so many people chasing me down. Now I feel like I can push on.”
The result in Portugal brings Jack’s 2019 European Tour rookie season to a close after graduating from the Challenge Tour in 2018. Jacks season has included strong performances at the D+D Real Czech Masters, the Magical Kenya Open and the Estrella Damm Andalucia Masters hosted by the Sergio Garcia Foundation.
Jack will kick off his 2020 campaign at the Hong Kong Open at the Hong Kong Club, Fanling next month.
